Frequently asked questions
Is it really free to place a classified?
Yes. There is no listing fee, sales commission or card payment. An approved listing runs for 60 days.
How does posting work?
Sign in with the secure link I email to you, add an honest description, price, location and up to three real photos, then publish straight away. Read my full classifieds explainer.
Why do I need an account?
It lets you manage adverts and saved searches while keeping your email private. Sign-in uses a one-time email link; there is no password.
What emails will I receive?
I'll send the account and enquiry emails needed to provide the service. I'll send launch or marketing emails only if you separately ask for them, and optional emails include a way to stop.
Will you post to Facebook for me?
No. I'll never post to Facebook as you or ask for your Facebook password.
When will my listing appear?
Straight away. Your email-verified account is the trust gate; reports and exceptional listings still come to me for review and takedown where needed.
What does “verified email” mean?
Only that the person accessed the email address used for the account. It is not an identity check, inspection, endorsement or guarantee.
Can buyers see my email?
Not on the advert. I send enquiries to the seller through my private relay without publishing either address. Replies currently come through me, so addresses are not automatically exchanged.
Who runs GrassChat?
I'm Russ Thompson, and I run GrassChat and RT Photography in the UK autograss community. I run GrassChat independently — it's not an official NASA, championship or club website.
How do I report something, appeal, export or delete my data?
Use the report control on an advert or drop me a message. Account holders can use Your data for export and deletion information.
