I'm Russ Thompson. If you've seen me trackside with a camera, sharing race-day posts or talking autograss on Facebook, you'll know the idea behind GrassChat already: give the sport one useful place of its own.

I run GrassChat as the community side — free classifieds now, with original paddock stories, race-day updates, podcasts and useful racing tools being built around it.
RT Photography
I'm a licensed National Autograss photographer for the 2026 season, and RT Photography is my photography work. It keeps its own identity; future GrassChat galleries will clearly credit photographs supplied through RT Photography.
Why I'm building it
Facebook is still where plenty of paddock conversation happens, but useful posts and sale adverts quickly disappear down the feed. I'm building GrassChat as a searchable home the community can return to.
Independent and straight with you
I run GrassChat independently. It's not operated by, endorsed by or an official publication of the National Autograss Sport Association, any championship or any club unless I clearly state a particular partnership.
